YYY
Are we on the brink of a collapse or a rebirth of social bonds?
Our era questions the relationship between individuality and the collective. In our age of liquid modernity, where reference points fade away and structures constantly evolve, mutual aid becomes a living art, an ever-changing architecture of the collective.
Conceived by interdisciplinary artist eraylik, YYY is an immersive audiovisual performance that merges visual arts, interactive technologies, experimental music, artificial intelligence, and corporeal performance. Set in a fragmented, semi-real universe, the work unfolds in three distinct acts, each designed as a meditation on the relationships between humanity, time, and the transformation of possible worlds.
YYY is an audiovisual performance created by Eraylik, with contributions from the audience, and sometimes a collaborative effort to bring the show to a unique conclusion at each concert.
The Past: Inspired by the Bauhaus movement, this act symbolizes an era of visual and functional utopias, where architecture and clean lines embodied the ambition to create a harmonious collective world.
The Present: Drawing on Zygmunt Bauman’s reflections on liquid modernity, this act portrays a fragmented and constantly shifting world. Fluid projections and evolving soundscapes capture an era marked by instability, where anchors dissolve, certainties erode, and impermanence and transformation dominate.
Speculative Futures: This act envisions worlds where singularity and unity oscillate between confrontation and harmony, exploring a fragile balance. It questions humanity's future through its technological choices, existential challenges, and relationship with the balances of life.
